Volunteer Lizette Cannarella
Volunteer Lizette Cannarella was able to spend Friday afternoon working with the kids in the Ix-canaan Library. She decided to teach them how to write their own mini-story-book.
Lizette began by reading several short story books to the attentive class, so they would have the idea of what their project of the day was to be.

Then they were each given a paper that had been cut and folded to form a small booklet … and they were directed to write and illustrate their own small book.
They were engrossed in their task.
They each wrote their story … and began illustrating it.
And when all is complete … a careful read through to make sure it is ready to present to Mom …
and off to the playground equipment to burn off some energy!
THANKS, LIZETTE, for your time and a great educational afternoon activity!!
