Dentistry for All: First Group
This is the first of two groups of dental volunteers who came with Dentistry for All to brighten the smiles of the children and adults of the area.
The dental group transforms the library into a mobile dental clinic for the week.
There is always a huge variety of toys, jewelry, hats and other gifts for the patients.
Rod models one of the hats that his sister knits for give-away when the group is working in the cold mountain regions of the country. They are a little warm for our area.
The kids always find something to do to pass the time while waiting for their turn with the dentists.
Some volunteers are trained to sterilize the equipment for the dentists.
Rodolfo is one of the Guatemalan dentists who joins the volunteers each year when they are here in this area.
