Making the Flowers

The next step was to create the flowers that would dress the skeleton of the tree.

Lots of people of the community came to learn how to make the flowers, and to contribute their time and creativity to the completion of enough flowers to cover all the branches.

Doña Juana has cut out several flowers in preparation for painting.

The local N.U.F.E.D. School collected aver 1500 bottles for this creative workshop.

A real sense of fun accompanied the flower makers during the two days of the workshop.

These two young women developed a way to put a stem through the centre of the flowers by heating up a small piece of wire in a candle-flame, so they could make a hole to put a pipe cleaner piece in.

One Love Generation supplied a huge variety of acrylic paints, and a huge drop cloth to protect the floor of the Community Center.
