Making the Flowers
The next step was to create the flowers that would dress the skeleton of the tree.
Lots of people of the community came to learn how to make the flowers, and to contribute their time and creativity to the completion of enough flowers to cover all the branches.
The One Love Generation team gave them instructions and a variety of ideas of flowers that they could make.
And the people of the village wasted no time getting right at it!
Doña Juana has cut out several flowers in preparation for painting.
The local N.U.F.E.D. School collected aver 1500 bottles for this creative workshop.
Everybody participated, young and old alike.
The people were very creative and every flower was different.
Several groups of teens came and worked all day Saturday.
The One Love Generation team also painted a lot of flowers.

These two young women developed a way to put a stem through the centre of the flowers by heating up a small piece of wire in a candle-flame, so they could make a hole to put a pipe cleaner piece in.
