Volunteers Nina Scheliga & Mauricio Buschinelli

August has been a busy month for volunteers.  First to arrive were Nina Scheliga and Mauricio Buschinelli, who had decided to teach English to the kids through a variety of games.  Most of the children here want to learn English … to be bilingual in a small tourist town is an invaluable aid to success.

Nina and Mauricio divided the children into two groups depending on their present level of English.

Each day for their 2 week stay, they would spend a short while teaching some new words and concepts, then they would play a variety of games, some quiet and some running, screaming, playing games, to burn off their excess energy.
