Ix-canaan is a Mayan word meaning "Guardians of the Rainforest"
The rainforests of Northern Guatemala, sometimes referred to as the Earth's Second Lung, are in immanent danger of extinction.
The people that are best able to save the rainforests are the people who inhabit them.
Through volunteers, Project Ix-canaan offers programs of Health, Education and Opportunity, to enable the people of the jungles to become truly
